The state of my subscriptions has changed quite a bit during this year. New shows have been added, while I’m at the same time taking a bit of a break from a couple of shows. Currently I am rather happy with this list albeit it being a tad short, especially since at least a few of them are not broadcasting at the moment or anymore.

I explored a bit in the field of radio-drama1 and looked more into science shows. I found a few more that are interesting, but I still have to make up my mind on those. If they stand the test of time, they will find it’s way in next years’s list2.

So here are the podcasts that I have enjoyed the most in 2014 (in no particular order):

One new one, at least for me, would be Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History. I have so far listened only 2 episodes but it does look very interesting. The episodes are pretty on the long side, which makes it at times a little difficult to fit into my schedule, but it is worth it.


  1. My absolute favourite here is without any doubt “We’re Alive” which in terms of quality, suspense and performance is close to mind blowing. I wrote about this plenty before.
